About This Property

Casa Calala is nestled under the forest canopy, but is only steps from the beach so you can enjoy the best of both sea and shade.  Only 50 yards from the white sand of Playa Iguana on the Pacific Ocean, you can walk to the surf breaks of Colorado (100 yards south) and Panga Drops (300 yards north).

As you enter through the wrought iron gates, your lead into the inner courtyard and pool. The design of Rancho del Mar offers comfortable indoor and outdoor living space. Guests can enjoy a cocktail at the swim-up bar, lounge on the extra large L-shaped couch in the air conditioned living room and gather with friends/family in the spacious 2nd floor palapa area with bar, seating and ocean view. The house is located just steps (literally) from the ocean.  It is equipped with all your creature comforts - AC, cable TV, WIFI, BBQ grill, back up power, housekeeping, food service (upon request) and more. 

The property is a 4 bed/3.5 bath house with an attached studio.  The main house features a Junior suite with 1 queen bed (includes private bath) on the first floor and this room opens up to the pool/patio area.  The first floor also features the living room, kitchen, 2 additional bedrooms and 1 bathroom. One guest room has has a 1 queen/single bunk and the other offers the option of 2 single beds or 1 king.  Upstairs is where you'll find the spacious and private master bedroom that features 1 king bed, a his/her closet, large bathroom and a balcony that connects to the palapa bar via a catwalk.
 
The attached studio has 1 queen bed and 1 queen futon as well as its ownkitchenette and private bath. 

About the Area

Hacienda Iguana is a gated, oceanfront development located along the southern coast of the Tola region. It features 9-hole golf course with a fully outfitted clubhouse that offers cart and club rentals. The development features an oceanfront clubhouse where you can relax in the pool, watch the surf and enjoy a drink. There are also a handful of bars and restaurants to choose from, both within and near the development.

Colorado, a fast, barreling beach break which is often considered one of Nicaragua's best, is just a short walk away.

Panga Drops, a fun, peaky reef break which magnifies swell and is typically larger than most other spots, is just a short walk away.

Los Perros Point, a right-hand point that breaks over rock and sand that is a great option when the surf gets bigger. The outside peak is a bit more challenging, while the inside peak is more forgiving. Both sections connect on the right angle.
